The Yorktown Community and Cultural Center is a not-for-profit tax exempt organization whose purpose is to enrich the quality of life for the residents of the Yorktown community and adjacent communities.
What is the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center (YCCC)?
The YCCC has a wide variety of tenants who provide education, arts and public service programs. In addition to the regular tenants, community groups provide a wide range of programs in the gymnasium and community rooms.
Additionally, the center provides a daily nutrition program for the community's seniors and also provides full time space for the various other senior clubs and organizations to host their programs and meetings.
Aside from the cultural and community activities, the center has its own performing arts theater, "The Yorktown Stage."
Support for the center has come from numerous public and private sources. State, local and federal grants have helped to make the YCCC a viable institution. The town and its residents have provided a great deal of financial and moral support, as has the Council for the Arts in Westchester. The center sponsors its own special programming including concerts, art and music workshops and family entertainment. The goal is to provide programs for the community.
A building office manager handles the day-to-day operations of the building, schedules activities, and coordinates the use of the rooms in the facility. Space is also available for rent. Call for rates. Anyone interested in scheduling or renting space at the YCCC can contact the office manager Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at (914) 962-5758.
