On Saturday, April 21, 2012, the Town of Yorktown will wage its annual war against litter -- recruits are needed!  Catch the green spirit and celebrate Earth Day by volunteering for "The Battle of Yorktown." By volunteering for just an hour or two to pick up roadside litter, your community will be cleaner & greener.  Everyone is needed: organizations, families and individuals.  A group representative should come into the Environmental Conservation Office, behind the police station on Route 202, to record the area that will be cleaned, get orange litter bags, safety vests and litter grabbers.  Questions? Call (914) 245-4438.
