The Advanced Life Support Commission oversees the Town of Yorktown Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedic program and is made up of representatives from each of the town's two volunteer ambulance services along with a Town Board Member.
The Town's Volunteer Ambulance Corps (YVAC) and Mohegan Fire Association Advanced Life Support (EMT-I) Ambulance service are augmented by the Yorktown Police Department and Lake Mohegan Fire District EMT first responder units, providing the highest quality of the emergency medical services provided to all residents of the town.
ALS Commission meets the first Wednesday of every month in the Yorktown Community & Cultural Center in Room 222.
