We hope that you and your family continue to be safe and are doing the best to manage in the aftermath of this unprecedented storm. Our department is actively coordinating with utility companies and other town departments to expedite the restoration process. We would like to share the very latest information we have with you.
The Town is expecting another delivery of dry ice later today, which will be distributed at the CVS on Commerce Street in Yorktown Heights. Please tune in to WHUD (100.7 FM), dial 211 on your phone or visit www.hudson211.org for delivery times. The supply of dry ice is very limited. Only persons who are in critical need should seek this ice.
Garbage collection for Yorktown has been suspended until Monday, November 5th when a normal schedule will be resumed.
Roadways are still extremely dangerous and only limited electrical repairs have been made to this point. Residents are reminded that a State of Emergency is still in effect and non-essential travel is prohibited. Non-essential travel is further taxing police personnel as it necessitates traffic control on roadways which have no working traffic signals. Please stay at home if at all possible.
