This notice is issued pursuant to Part 617 of the implementing regulations pertaining to
Article 8 (State Environmental Quality Review Act) of the Environmental Conservation Law.

The Town of Yorktown Planning Board as lead agency, has determined that the proposed action described below may have a significant impact on the environment and that a Draft Environmental Impact Statement will be prepared.

Description of Action: The applicant proposes to develop an 18.75 acre parcel, and construct a 151,092 SF Costco Wholesale Club retail store and club member available filling station with tree pump islands. Within the proposed Costco store will be a 4-bay loading dock and tire center that will include 4 service bays, an office/waiting area, and a sales floor

A Public scoping session on the DEIS will be held on November 8, 2010 at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Town of Yorktown Town Hall Located at 363 Underhill Avenue, Yorktown Heights, New York 10598.
