EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 7:00 p.m., Councilman Bianco moved, seconded by Councilman Martorano, to move into Executive Session to conduct volunteer board interviews and discuss the employment of a particular person. At 8:15 p.m., Councilman Martorano moved, seconded by Councilman Metz, to move out of Executive Session and proceed with the Work Session.
WORK SESSION
Supervisor Linda G. Cooper called the meeting to order. Deputy Town Clerk Diana L. Quast and Town Attorney Kevin Sweeny were also present.
REAR ACCESS ROAD NEAR GARDEN LANE
Scott Levine from Edwards and Kelcey presented the Board a proposed layout of Garden Lane. The proposal consisted of putting in a median, a traffic light and restricting left hand that cross over Route 202 in Garden Lane.
ROUTE 6/6N CORRIDOR PLANNING STUDY
Scott Levine from Edwards and Kelcey and Steve Munson from New York State Department of Transportation discussed with the Board the Route 6/6N Corridor Planning Study. Mr. Levine described several different ideas that would help alleviate some of the traffic accidents and back ups that are occurring on these roads. The Board decided that holding an informational meetings with the residents of this area would be beneficial.
SUNCREST SEWER DISTRICT
Deputy Town Engineer Jeff Econom was present to discuss with the Board the proposed Suncrest Sewer District. The Board decided to advertise for the public hearing at the May 2, 2006 Town Board meeting.
SHOOR DEPALMA WETLAND PERMIT
Mr. Shoor DePalma was present to discuss with the Board an application for a wetland permit for property located at 738 East Main Street. The work to be done is the demolition of an existing abandoned house, construction of a new single-family dwelling and activity in wetland and buffer to construct a new driveway to Town standards. The Board decided to advertise for the public hearing at the May 2, 2006 Town Board meeting and have hold the public hearing at the May 16, 2006 Town Board meeting.
MOHEGAN AVENUE - ROUTE 6 OFFICE DEVELOPMENT
Mr. Mark Ellman was present to discuss with the Board a proposal to develop an office park on Mohegan Avenue. He asked if the Board would support this type of development. The Board agreed to support this idea as long as it addresses some of the problems that currently exist in the area.
OBER WETLAND PERMIT
Ms. Jonette Ober was present to discuss with the Board an application for a wetland permit for property located at 2759 Springhurst Street. The work to be done is to fill the back slope with clean fill, install retaining wall at bottom of slope to control runoff, fence backyard for safety, and removal of three trees on slope. The Board decided to advertise for the public hearing at the May 2, 2006 Town Board meeting and have hold the public hearing at the May 16, 2006 Town Board meeting.
SAMSEL SUBDIVISION - HUNTERBROOK ROAD
Ms. Francesca Samsel was present to discuss with the Board an application for a variance for property located on Hunterbrook Road. The applicant is seeking a variance of the 10% limitation on driveway grades so as to enable the installation of a common driveway serving two lots, portions of which are at 14% grade. The Board decided to advertise for the public hearing at the May 2, 2006 Town Board meeting and have hold the public hearing at the May 16, 2006 Town Board meeting.
HOG HILL PROPERTIES - ROUTE 100 - DELL AVENUE
Mr. Aldo Vitagliano, Attorney for the applicant, Hog Hill Properties was present to discuss with the Board the procedure for moving forward with this project. The Board felt that there are many issues that still need to be addressed but the applicant can start with a preliminary environmental impact statement and move forward with that.
TOWN BOARD MEETING AGENDA
The Board discussed the May 2, 2006 Town Board meeting agenda.

Upon motion by Councilman Bianco, seconded by Councilman Metz and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
