EXECUTIVE SESSION
Councilman Metz moved, seconded by Councilman Campisi to move into Executive Session to discuss the employment of particular persons and interview for volunteer boards.
Councilman Campisi moved, seconded by Councilman Metz to move out of Executive Session and proceed with the Work Session.
WORK SESSION
Supervisor Linda G. Cooper called the meeting to order. Deputy Town Clerk Diana L. Quast and Town Attorney Kevin Sweeny were also present.
SALE OF TOWN PROPERTY
WITH CONSERVATION EASEMENTS
Supervisor Linda Cooper discussed with the Board three foreclosed-upon properties proposed to be sold to neighbors with conservation easements. The three parcels are Saunders, Illington Road, Teatown; Polcari, Wenonah Trail, Mohegan Lake; Dobler, East Main Street, Jefferson Valley.
BIODIVERSITY IMA WITH
CORTLANDT, NEW CASTLE AND PUTNAM VALLEY
Supervisor Linda Cooper discussed the Intermunicipal Agreement (IMA) with Cortlandt, New Castle and Putnam Valley. The Board agreed to discuss this again at the June 13, 2006 Work Session.

Upon motion made by Councilman Metz, seconded by Councilman Campisi,
WHEREAS the Town of Yorktown has applied to the New York State Department of State for monies to enhance the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center; and
WHEREAS the New York State Department of State has award $25,000 to the Town of Yorktown for enhancement of maintenance and programs at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center; therefore
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor of the Town of Yorktown to execute a contract with the NEW York State Department of State for the purpose of funding $25,000 toward the furnishing and installation of the event sign at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center.

APPROVAL TEMPORARY BANNER

RESOLUTION #272
Upon motion made by Councilman Campisi, seconded by Councilman Metz,
WHEREAS, the Town of Yorktown Town Board has received an application from Taconic Fuel for a special permit to modify the existing signage on the property known as tax id section 36.06 parcel 1 lot 25, currently operating as a gasoline station; and
WHEREAS the Town of Yorktown Town Board has referred the application to various town agencies for comment; and
WHEREAS said agencies are working with the applicant to modify the signage design to more accurately reflect the recommendations of the Yorktown Signage Ordinance Manual; and
WHEREAS the applicant has requested approval of a temporary banner to identify the station brand and to be placed over the brand identification of the existing sign, as represented on the rendering prepared by Signs Ink, dated March 1 ,2006; and
WHEREAS this is requested as an interim measure pending approval and construction of the proposed permanent sign; therefore be it
RESOLVED that the Town of Yorktown Town Board authorizes the use of a temporary brand identification banner to be placed on the existing sign at the property herein described for a period not to exceed ninety days.

Resolution adopted.
