EXECUTIVE SESSION
Councilman Bianco moved, seconded by Councilman Campisi to move into Executive Session to discuss the employment of particular persons.
Councilman Bianco moved, seconded by Councilman Campisi to move out of Executive Session and proceed with the Work Session.
WORK SESSION
Supervisor Linda G. Cooper called the meeting to order. Deputy Town Clerk Diana L. Quast and Town Attorney Kevin Sweeny were also present.
REJECT COMPUTER HARDWARE BID
POLICE DEPARTMENT
RESOLUTION # 405
Upon motion made by Councilman Bianco, seconded by Councilman Martorano,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board rejected the bid for computer hardware and decided to accept an alternate proposal dated September 12, 2006.
Cooper, Martorano, Bianco, Metz, Campisi: Voting Aye.
Resolution adopted.
CHAZEN ENGINEERING
Dave Tompkins and Mike Arubo were present to discuss with the Board additional areas to be chosen for further biodiversity study and mapping. The Board would like to hold off on preparing an agreement with Chazen Engineering until all communities involved sign the biodiversity agreement. Mr. Tompkins suggested that his company give the Board an estimate on the services requested and the Board could review it before making a decision.
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Director of Planning John Tegeder was present to discus with the Board rezoning, planned development district overlay language and lighting ordinance. The Board discussed reconvening the Comprehensive Plan Re-zonings in order to close the Public Hearing and make a decision. The Board agreed to place this on the October 10, 2006 Work Session agenda for discussion and reconvene the Public hearing on October 17, 2006. The Board decided to refer out the Lighting Ordinance language and receive comments. Additional comments were made on Planned Development District Overlay’s, the Board decided to continue this discussion at a later date.
ARCADY ROAD
The Board discussed a plan and intermunicipal agreement with the Department of Environmental Protection to restore Arcady Road. The Department of Environmental Protection is willing to pay for the materials needed to repair Arcady Road. The Town would supply the labor. The use of the road would be restricted to New York City DEP vehicles only.
Councilman Campisi stated that if the town uses it’s employees to fix the road then it should be accessible to its residents not just DEP. The Board decided to discuss this issue with the Highway Superintendent.
PROHIBIT WASHING OF COMMERCIAL
VEHICLES ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS
Councilman Campisi discussed with the Board proposed changes to the V & T Section 275-4. He explained that this proposed local law would amend Chapter 275 of the Code to restrict the maintenance of commercial vehicles parked on residential streets. The Board agreed to place this on the September 19, 2006 agenda to refer out for comments.
YORKTOWN FARMS
The Board discuss its intent to be lead agency and circulate this application. The Board agreed to place this on the September 19, 2006 agenda.
MAXWELL DRIVE AND SUNFLOWER DRIVE
STOP SIGNS
Councilman Metz discussed with the Board proposed changes to amend Chapter 275 of the Code to authorize stop signs on Maxwell drive and Sunflower Drive. The Board agreed to place this on the September 19, 2006 agenda to refer out for comments.

The Board discussed the September 19, 2006 Town Board meeting agenda.
