NOTE: LEAF BAGS/BRANCHES ARE NOT PICKED UP WITH BULK TRASH

PROCEDURE FOR LEAF BAG & TIED BRANCHES COLLECTION:

See the schedules below for your section's exclusive collection of "Spring/Summer Leaf Bag and Tied Branches" and "Fall Leaf Bags." All leaves must be bagged in 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags. Leaves in plastic bags will not be picked up. Bagged leaves and tied branches must be placed at curbside no later than 6:00 am on the scheduled pick up dates.  Note: Broken bags from excessive weight are the homeowner's responsibility.

Leaf Bags can be purchased in the Refuse and Recycling office at 2279 Crompond Road. Bags are sold in bundles of 50 for $20.00 or individually for $0.40 each.

Grass clippings, mulch and wood chips will not be collected but may be dropped off at the Organic Yard Waste Facility. 

2024 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION SCHEDULE FOR LEAF BAGS & TIED BRANCHES:

During the spring and summer the town will collect leaf bags and bundled branches ONLY on the date listed below. Leaves must be packed in 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags and branches are to be cut into 4 foot or smaller pieces, bundled and tied. Loose branches and logs will not be picked up.  Pick up dates are listed by section:

Sections 1 & 7: April 15, May 28, July 1

Section 6:  April 16, May 29, July 2

Sections 2 & 3: April 17, May 30, July 3

Sections 4 & 5:  April 18, May 31, July 5

 

2024 FALL LEAF BAG COLLECTION

During the Fall Leaf Season (late October - early December) the town will collect Leaf Bags ONLY on the dates listed below. Leaves must be packed in 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags - branches will NOT be picked up with fall leaf bag collections.

Sections 1 & 7: November 4, 12, 18; December 2, 9, 16

Section 6:  November 6, 13, 19; December 3, 10, 17

Sections 2 & 3: November 7, 14, 20; December 4, 11, 18

Sections 4 & 5: November 8, 15, 21; December 5, 12, 19

NOTE: There will NOT be any leaf bags collected during Thanksgiving week!

NOTE: Broken bags from excessive weight are the homeowner's responsibility.
