Vision Statement

Albert A. Capellini Community & Cultural CenterTHE HEIGHTS serves as the business hub in the Town. The area provides a historical, charming, walkable downtown center with shops, restaurants, museum, senior center and a live theater, that is conveniently located 35-miles north of New York City.

We RE-IMAGINE the downtown currently a predominantly business focused center, to a bustling community square for our residents with welcoming public gathering places, enhanced streetscapes,  redeveloped vacant anchor stores, multiple housing options for all ages with ease of access to walk/bike to shops, restaurants and recreational activities.

We RE-IMAGINE it as an exciting daily or weekend destination location that will attract visitors to explore our vibrant downtown, with quaint shops and restaurants, along with the vast array of over 20 hiking trails, numerous working farms, our historic areas and enjoy the Empire Trail, a 750-mile paradise for bikers and walkers.

We RE-IMAGINE a downtown for the future that will retain our current residents and attract new residents to live, work and play in THE HEIGHTS.
