Dual-Stream Recycling:

Do NOT Place Recyclables in Plastic Bags#1 - COMMINGLED CONTAINERS - Place the following glass, plastic, metal and gable top cartons that held food, beverages or soapy cleaners in the GREEN RECYCLING BIN:

RECYCLE clear, green or brown glass jars and bottles. Rinse containers, discard lids and caps - place unbroken glass in the bin.

RECYCLE plastic containers coded #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 or #7 (find number stamped on the bottom of container inside the recycling symbol - three arrows making a triangle). Rinse containers, discard caps, and place in bin. (Do not include styrofoam or plastic bags.)

RECYCLE food and beverage cans, clean aluminum foil and trays, and empty aerosol cans. Rinse metal containers and place in bin.

RECYCLE Juice and Milk Cartons. Gable top refrigerated food and beverage containers, juice boxes and ice cream containers can be included with your weekly commingled recycling. Rinse containers and place in bin.

DO NOT RECYCLE ceramic dishes and cookware, light bulbs, plastic flowerpots, plastic bags, plastic toys, aerosol cans that held bug spray or paint, or clothes hangars. These items will be collected with Bulk Trash.

Do Not Use Cardboard Boxes to Hold Papers#2 - PAPER & CARDBOARD in brown paper bags or separate recycling bin:

RECYCLE newspapers, magazines, catalog, junk mail, telephone books, brown corrugated cardboard and one-layered grey cardboard. Place paper in brown paper shopping bags or separate recycling bin.

Plastics bags are not to be used to hold paper or commingled recyclables! Reuse plastic bags or return them to the store.

Fill up to 4 paper bags per week and set next to the green recycling bin, or use a separate recycling bin.

Cardboard boxes must be emptied of all packing material, excessive amounts of tape removed, flattened and tied (2 bundles maximum; Maximum size 3' x 3')

If you do not have paper bags, then bundle & tie your papers, or place them in a recycling bin (note: never in the same bin with commingled containers!).

Do not recycle greasy pizza boxes, hard-covered books, styrofoam, paper cups or plates, plastic packing materials, or plastic film wrapping.

Important Reminders:
* Place ALL recyclables at curbside by 6:00 am on your scheduled recycling day.
* Recyclables may be collected by two separate trucks at different times of the day.
* Do not mix paper and commingled recyclables in the same bin!
