Ed Lachterman

Edward A. Lachterman was elected Yorktown Town Councilman in 2015. He, along with his wife Carol, is a small business owner in Westchester County.  His career has focused in the Hospitality Industry where he has worked his way up the ladder in all possible positions, most recently working with at risk youths and helping to train them for careers in the culinary field. He is also the founder and CEO of The Ultimate Service Agency, a small consulting firm working with businesses in training employees and operating events for them. 

Ed has also been very involved in the Yorktown Community. He is currently The Adjutant, as well as a Charter Member of the Yorktown Sons of the American Legion Squadron 1009 and a member of the Yorktown Lions, serving as Concert Committee Chair and Master of Ceremonies, Treasurer, Vice President and two terms as President. Ed also has served as a Board Member for Yorktown Against Heroin. He was a Team Leader and Member of the Yorktown Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and now serves as the Town Board Liaison to CERT. He has also partnered with The Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK), The Harrison Apar Foundation, My Brother Vinny, United for The Troops, the Westchester Alzheimer’s Association, The ALS Foundation and The Lustgarten Foundation.  In 2003 he was a recipient of the Business Industry State Honors Award from the NYS Rehabilitation Association for leading a company initiative in providing employment opportunities to, and for working with, people with disabilities. Currently Ed is the Liaison for the Town Board to the Senior Advisory Committee and holds weekly Veterans Socials every Friday morning at The Country House Assisted Living and Rehabilitation home in Yorktown.
