NWJWW Discontinues Fluoride

The Northern Westchester Joint Water Works (NWJWW),  which supplies water to Yorktown, announced that in consultation with Westchester County Health Department they will discontinue adding Fluoride to the water at their Amawalk Treatment Plant on Oct. 3, 2017. Yorktown’s other source, the NWJWW’s Catskill Aqueduct Treatment Plant, halted the addition of Fluoride some time ago due to technical reasons.
