Repaired: MAIN BREAK @ RT. 35 & GREENWOOD ST

Greenwood St. Water Main Break

YWD staff have repaired a water main break at Rt. 35 & Greenwood St.

GREENWOOD ST. is still closed to traffic (between Rt. 35 & Brookside Ave.) until road repairs are completed this evening.

This was a break on a large transmission main. Water service was disrupted to a number of areas throughout the town. 

Discolored/cloudy water occurred in numerous areas, due to the size of the main break. This will dissipate & is an aesthetic issue and not a health concern.

Please flush your cold water should you experience discolored or cloudy (air) water.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated during this emergency repair.
