2024 Grievance Instructions

GRIEVANCE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED PRIOR TO JUNE 3, 2024

Grievance applications will be accepted in person at the Assessment Department Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm beginning June 3, 2024. Grievance applications can also be placed in the secure drop box in the rear of Town Hall (363 Underhill Avenue, Yorktown Heights), or sent via USPS, Fedex or UPS.

Please mail your application along with any supporting documentation to:

It MUST be received no later than June 18, 2024.

Please paper clip all pages (no staples). Single-sided documents are preferred.

BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW (BAR) INSTRUCTIONS:

The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Assessment Office.

It is NOT mandatory to testify before the BAR on June 18, 2024. Appearances are on a first come first serve basis. The BAR reviews all documentation provided, whether you appear or not, to make a determination as to the final assessment.

ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE ASSESSMENT OFFICE ON OR BEFORE JUNE 18, 2024, AT 8:00 PM.  Applications received after that date and time will not be reviewed by the BAR.
