(June 8, 2022) – Genesis Jewelers has collected more than 1,000 books in support of the 914Cares Literacy Library.

Genesis Jewelers is asking residents to donate children’s books that local families have outgrown. The book drive runs through June 11.

“As a father, I know that children eventually outgrow books when their interests evolve. This book drive is an easy and socially responsible way to help children whose families may not be able to buy books,” said Supervisor Matt Slater.

The 914Cares Literacy Library provides books to families and school districts in Westchester County communities with lower resources. All books distributed are in good, clean condition and inspected by 914Cares for age-appropriateness.

Bring book donations to Genesis Jewelers at 32 Triangle Center, Yorktown Heights during normal business hours.
