NYSDOT Public Scoping Workshop II on Rt 35/202 & Pine Grove Ct and at Stony St

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will be hosting Public Workshop II on June 30th, 2010 at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center from 7 to 9 PM for the intersection improvements planned for the following four intersections within the Town of Yorktown:

• Rte 35/202 at Pine Grove Court;
• Rte 35/202 at Stony Street;
• Bear Mountain Parkway Extension at Stony Street, and;
• Rte 25/202 at Bear Mountain Parkway Extension. 
 
Since Public Workshop I, held in March 2010, NYSDOT design team has been developing design concepts for the intersections based on identified needs.  At Public Workshop II, NYSDOT will review the results of Public Workshop I, present design concepts for each intersection, and solicit input from workshop attendees.  NYSDOT will use the comments received to refine the concepts and work towards a preferred alternative. 
 
It is anticipated Public Workshop III will be scheduled in the fall to present and collect public input on the preferred alternative.

The June 30th workshop will be held in the Nutrition Room on the bottom floor of the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center,
