Yorktown Fire Junior Corps 10th Anniversary Pasta Night

The Yorktown Fire Junior Corps will be holding its 10th Anniversary Pasta Night on Friday, May 24th at 6:00 pm.  $10 for Adults, $8 for children under 10.  

Memorial Day Parade & Ceremonies

Yorktown American Legion Post #1009 invites all members of the New York National Guard assigned to Camp Smith to march in the 2013 Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27th at 11:00 am. After a short ceremony, the parade will march from town Hall to the DeVito Veterans Memorial Park Gazebo on Veterans Road.

Yorktown Community Day featuring ASK Taste of Yorktown

The 24th Annual Community Day will feature The Taste of Yorktown and showcase local merchants, organizations, community group achievements. The day will also include entertainment, activities and games for all ages!

    ATTENTION POOL USERS: The Parks and Recreation Department apologizes for any inconvenience, however the Junior Lake Pool facility will not be opening Saturday, May 25, 2013 as originally scheduled.

    As an alternative we will be opening Shrub Oak Pool located on Sunnyside Street in Shrub Oak during the originally scheduled times of Junior Lake Pool. Thank you for your understanding.

    Westchester County Clerk Timothy Idoni's community outreach staff will be at Town Hall (parking lot), 363 Underhill Avenue on Thursday, May 30th from 11 am - 2 pm to process passport applications.

    The NYS DEC has issued guidance on preventing conflicts with coyotes & nuisance bear encounters. With the onset of warmer weather, New York’s black bear population will be on the move and coyotes are setting up denning areas for soon-to-arrive pups. Conflicts with people and pets may result as coyotes become territorial around den sites and increase the frequency and intensity of foraging to provide food for their young.  Continue Reading>

    All residents of Yorktown are eligible. Once in the plan, members are guaranteed a reduced rate for heating oil when they purchase it from participating companies. The only cost is a $5 enrollment fee, which is required at the time a resident signs up. Residents can sign up anytime during regular business hours in the Supervisor’s office.
