Easter Egg Hunt Easter Egg Hunt

The Yorktown Parks & Recreation Department and the Yorktown Lion’s Club are hosting the annual Egg Hunt at Downing Park on Saturday, March 28, 2015 beginning at 10:30 am (Sharp!).  Children under 12 years of age can enjoy a hunt for plastic eggs, visit with the Easter Bunny, and a gift from the prize table.  Discover one of the large eggs hidden in the Park and you will win an Easter basket compliments of the Lion’s Club. The winners of the Decorate an Egg Contest will be announced at the event.  Rain date scheduled for April 4th at 10:30 am.

On August 7, 2013, Eugene Lang, Neil Gross, Dale Novak, the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 21 New York, and the Town Board held a ceremony designating Yorktown as a Purple Heart Town.
