The public is invited to attend Yorktown's 6th Annual Arbor Day celebration in front of the Yorktown Community & Cultural Center, 1974 Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights. The date is Friday, May 6 at 4:00 p.m. The winners of the student Arbor Day poster contest will be announced.

Step Back in time - Tour Yorktown's Historic Homes on Sunday, May 1st! All proceeds go to Relay For Life of Yorktown. Ticket price includes a light luncheon served on the beautiful grounds of the Soundview Preparatory School, formerly the Edward Underhill Estate. This year's homes are the 1700's Hallock's Mill farmhouse, the 1700's Tompkins Farmhouse, the 1900's Henry Street Settlement Camp, and Faraway Farm Alpacas.

Remember or honor your veteran this Father's Day with an engraved brick in the American Legion's Commemorative Park. A Veteran is anyone who served in the American military and has an honorable discharge. Funds raised will be used primarily as donations to Wounded Warriors, Montrose VA Residents, Comfort Warriors, Yorktown Community Programs, and The Fisher Houses - (Veterans' Families Support). Order forms can be picked up from the Yorktown Post Hall or printed from their website: www.nylegion1009.org. For more please call (914) 455-0096.

Yorktown Heating Oil Plan Yorktown Heating Oil Plan

All residents of Yorktown are eligible. Once in the plan, members are guaranteed a reduced rate for heating oil when they purchase it from participating companies. Residents can sign up anytime during regular business hours in the Supervisor’s office. There is no fee to join.
