Save A Life is an event designed by LHS and YHS students to inform and empower youth and adults to be community allies and first responders supporting teens and families in crisis. Take the first steps toward saving a friend by devoting just one afternoon of your life on Sunday, February 8 from 1-5 pm at the Yorktown Community & Cultural Center.

On August 7, 2013, Eugene Lang, Neil Gross, Dale Novak, the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 21 New York, and the Town Board held a ceremony designating Yorktown as a Purple Heart Town.
