Westchester County 45th Annual Salute to Seniors

Don’t miss the 45th Annual Salute to Seniors, which will be in full swing on May 1 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

The extravaganza will offer Motown and Caribbean music, acrobats, 100 businesses and government agencies with products and services of special interest to older adults and a Health and Wellness Fair guaranteed to inspire better lifestyles.The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and parking and admission are free.

Live entertainment will feature Linwood Peel, former lead singer of the Drifters, who will sing some of their unforgettable classics such as “Under the Boardwalk” and “There Goes My Baby.” Also, Steel Passion, a steel drum band, will perform as will as the acrobatic duo from WOWfactor Talent.

The spectacular documentary “Age of Champions” follows five competitors in the National Senior Olympics. The award-winning film is presented by the Healthways Silver Sneakers Fitness program. Salute-goers will also be able to sign up for the Reduced-Fare MetroCard to use on the Bee-Line buses.
