Nightly Detour Advisory for Taconic State Parkway Pavement Maintenance

The New York State Department of Transportation is advising Putnam and Westchester County motorists of the following lane and ramp closures on the Taconic State Parkway northbound and southbound between the Westchester/Putnam County line in the town of Yorktown and Exit 28 (Pudding Street) in the Town of Putnam Valley, beginning Tuesday, July 6 until approximately Thursday, July 15, between 8 PM and 5 AM, while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.  Only one(1) Exit of the roadway will be permitted to be closed per night with posted detour. 

  • Northbound lanes are expected to close nightly between Tuesday, July 6 and Thursday, July 8, and Sunday, July 11.
  • Southbound lanes are expected to close nightly on Monday, July 12 and Tuesday, July 13.
  • The Exit 23 (Bryant Pond Road) entrance and exit ramps will close on or about Wednesday, July 14 and Thursday, July 15.
