Sign Up for Con Edison Text Alerts

Stay on top of outages by signing up for text notifications. Con Edison will send a weather warning and preparation information before a storm arrives. By the end of the year, Con Edison will be able to automatically enroll customers and they can choose to opt out. Customers can sign up on their own right now. Once customers are enrolled, for customers who report their outage to the company, we will send them system and safety updates, including their estimated time of restoration.

In the meantime, please encourage customers to sign up for text alerts today.  They can use their cell phone to text REG to OUTAGE (688243) and follow the prompts. They'll need their account number and to confirm their zip code. To retrieve their account number, log in to My Account or check their bill. This information is also located on our website at coned.com/text.
