Yorktown Town Hall will Resume Walk-in Service

Town Hall will resume walk-in services for the public starting May 3 due to the easing of COVID-19 infection rates in Westchester County.

The public can receive walk-in service from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. Town Hall resumed in-person meetings by appointment with individual departments in September.

“Walk-in service in an important step in our return to normal activities,” said Supervisor Matt Slater. “This resumption of ordinary activities doesn’t mean that we are letting our guard down. The pandemic is not over. All Town Hall visitors are expected to wear masks and observe common-sense social distancing for the safety of our public workers and their families.”

Visitors to all town facilities must submit to a temperature screening and they will be required to answer a COVID-19 questionnaire. Town officials’ safety precautions include the installation of plastic barriers at counters.

Yorktown departments will continue to hold virtual conferences for anyone who is not comfortable with in-person visits.

Town Hall’s reopening is on the same day that the John C. Hart Memorial Library will resume normal operating hours and in-door service. Library patrons will be required to wear masks.
