Kitchen Trash Info & Holiday Schedule
Kitchen Trash is picked up twice per week on predesignated days by the Town of Yorktown's contractor.
"Kitchen Trash" includes the food and wrappers that you empty from your kitchen and bathroom trash pails. Please do not dispose of any yard waste, bulk trash, recyclables, construction or demolition debris in with Kitchen Trash; garbage cans with unacceptable debris will not be emptied.
Garbage cans with secure lids, should be placed at your curb no later than 6:00 am in a neat, orderly fashion. Please note that it is acceptable to place your garbage cans curbside the night before your collection.
Garbage cans must be removed from curbside enclosures prior to 6:00 am; sanitation workers will not remove or replace cans in enclosures.
